According to the most recent statistics over 120,000 phones are stolen every month - that's nearly 1.5 million a year!
Add to that the 100,00 or so phones that are reported accidentally damaged and you can start to appreciate the value of insurance.
Over 40% of all car crimes come as a result of mobile phone theft.
You must have specialist cover - ordinary home or motor insurance policies do not provide the level of cover you expect. Often long drawn out claims procedures are followed by large excesses and all the tiem you are still paying line rental for a phone that you don't have.
How inconvenient would it be if you lost your phone today - how many of your friends' and family's numbers do you actually remember? Even worse if your business phone is stolen how do your customers get in touch with you?
The real question should really be - "Can I afford NOT to protect my phone?"
