MOBILE PHONE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND REPLACEMENT SERVICE SUMMARY. THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT YOU SHOULD READ.
Type of Warranty Cover
Cover applies to your mobile phone (excluding accessories) against theft, accidental damage, overseas unauthorised calls, unauthorised downloads, Licensed premises, work places, public transport and loss.
Significant Features and Benefits
This service covers your mobile phone for up to 12 months without the cost of an excess fee, from the date of purchase. Cover is against the above risks whilst being used worldwide and applies only to you as the person who purchased the mobile phone.
Significant and Unusual Exclusions or Limitations
Like all services of this kind there are some events not covered. Importantly these include inappropriate use, breakdown which occurs during the manufacturers warranty period or due to abuse or wear and tear or gradual deterioration of the phone. Cosmetic damage to the phone, rust, corrosion, water damage, dampness or other variations of temperature, consequential loss and failure to take reasonable care, any damage caused by animals or pets. You must follow manufacturers instructions at all times. There is no cover provided for accessories of any kind including external casing and fittings, control knobs or buttons, batteries or aerials. The handset must be in your sole possession for the cover to be valid. The PIN code must be in use at all times to prevent misuse in the event of theft.
Theft from an unattended vehicle is not covered unless the vehicle is locked and the phone is locked away (in glove compartment, boot or other internal compartment) and completely hidden. Other vehicle exclusions include any soft top or convertible vehicles, unsecured aircraft or water borne vessels. Theft from unoccupied premises is not covered unless there is evidence of forced entry. Theft from the person is not covered unless force, pick pocketing or threat of violence is used. Theft from a public place is not covered if you leave the phone unattended. You are required to take all reasonable precautions to protect the phone against theft or damage. Any loss involving a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, Network Card or Communicator is not covered. Theft claims will not be paid unless reported to the Administrator, the Police and your Network Provider within 24 hours and a crime reference number obtained. You must take reasonable attempts to recover any loss or stolen phone.
Repairs must be carried out by The Company or their authorised agents, failure to obey this instruction will invalidate any claim.
Duration of Cover and Cancellation Policy
The duration of cover is for 12 month period from the date on policy.
The service provider may cancel the insurance by you 30 days written notice to your last known address. The Policy becomes immediately null and void if the premium is not paid in full. You have the right to cancel the service within 14 days of inception, and provided that no claims have been made premiums will be refunded.
Claims Notification
If you need to make a claim you must contact the administrator on 0870 423 2015 within 24 hours of a covered event, obtain a claims reference number and a claims procedure form, if a claim is processed we may require more information from you regarding the incident. You are required to respond within 24 hours or the claim will be invalid and in the event there is no one available to take your call you must leave a message on the answer phone, failure to comply with any of the above may result with an invalid claim. The maximum liability for any claim cannot exceed the replacement value of the phone, in the event of recovery of a lost or stolen phone which has been replaced by the company it become their property. You must provide the company with proof of purchase, receipts or any other documentation that may be requested. This service covers replacement only and at no time provides any monies. Claims will be processed under the terms and conditions of this policy based upon the first reason notified by the company. A replacement phone may be refused or you may be charged for such a replacement if the company believes you have failed to comply with the terms and conditions. The company reserves the right to send a replacement phone model that may differ from your current model at their discretion but every effort will be made to ensure as close a specification as possible. We can repair your handset as many times as neccessary, however, you may only claim for a replacement handset once per plan. Also, in the event of multiple handsets being on one policy, only the first claim for a replacement handset will count. A new plan must be re-instated prior to dispatch.
General Conditions
You cannot transfer this policy into another name or to another mobile phone without the express written consent of the company.
Damaged handsets must be returned to the administrator for inspection before a replacement is issued.
What to do if your phone is stolen or damaged
In the event of theft you must immediately notify your network using the numbers shown below.

You must also report the theft to the Police within 24 hours of the event and obtain a crime reference number and make a note of the Police Station details and the name of the Officer involved. You must then inform the administrator on 0870 4232015 within 24 hours of the event.
In the event of accident damage you must inform the administrator immediately.
Mobile Protection reserves the right to edit or change the Terms and Conditions at any time.
